FACULTY
We value diversity and multiculturalism and so our faculty and staff are drawn from a cross section of local and international backgrounds with a wide range of experience and expertise in higher education. All full time faculty are required to publish regularly in scholarly and peer reviewed journals. Thus, BICU embraces an active research culture.
ACCREDITATION
Accreditation is usually received after the graduation of the first cohort of students and this accreditation is normally retroactive to its initial cohort. BICU will pursue accreditation from the following organizations: 1) The Distance Educational Accrediting Council (DEAC) and 2) The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Our programs and courses are taught by qualified and experienced professors who are passionate and committed to delivering excellent student-centered education.

MASTER OF ARTS IN RELIGION (NT Emphasis)
The Master of Arts in Religion (New Testament emphasis) while being a strong academic degree also equips the student for Pastoral Ministry. A two-year program that comprises of 48 credit hours. See section, “Program of Study” for details.
MASTER OF ARTS IN PASTORAL MINISTRY
The Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (60 credits) is a professional degree, with a strong academic emphasis. This program serves to further equip practicing pastors for Christian ministry and prepares them for post-graduate studies in ministry. Details are outlined in the section “Program of Study.”
MASTER OF ARTS IN RELIGION & CHURCH ADMINISTRATION
The Master of Religion and Church Administration (M.R.C.A.) (39 credits) is designed for those seeking advanced theological education combined with professional skills in church leadership and administration. The curriculum aims to equip students with both a deep understanding of Christian doctrine and practical tools for managing the complex operations of modern churches. Details are outlined in the section “Programs of Study.”
THE BACHELOR OF ARTS IN RELIGION
The Bachelor of Arts in Religion consists of 120 credits. It is offered in the accelerated format which lasts for three (3) years and the regular format of four (4) years. Please see the section, “Program of Study” for details.
THE BACHELOR OF ARTS IN RELIGION & POLITICS
The Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Politics consists of 120 credits. It is an interdisciplinary program comprised of courses in Religion and Politics. Students of this program will be able to see the interrelationships between the two areas of study and will be equipped to make sound decisions that utilize disciplinary concepts, principles and applications, both within the church and governmental circles. ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREE IN RELIGION
The Associate of Arts degree in Religion is a two-year program that prepares students for Bible Work and Pastoral Ministry. It also forms a basis for entry into the Bachelor’s degree program. Details are under the section “Program of Study.”
CERTIFICATE COURSES (ENRICHMENT FOCUS)
Instructions leading to certification are offered in the areas of Religion, Politics and Counseling Psychology. Each course lasts for fifteen 15 hours, values one credit hour and are taught over a two to three weeks period. See Section “Program of Study” for additional details.
SHORT COURSES AND SEMINARS
BICU will offer several market-driven short courses and seminars with duration from 3 hours to a few days based on demand.
ONLINE DELIVERY
BICU offers all of its programs in the virtual and online platforms. This is done through D2L (the Desire to Learn, Brite Space) Learning Management System. Students must be fully registered in order to access the services of this system.
